I'll have a look at it for you. If I can repair it, you will have a spare :-)

Subject: Re: [928uk] Mirror controller question
Update as of today: Spare mirror controller unit finally arrived and after a bit of playing in the garage in the freezing cold, both mirrors work again including memory facility.
Having opened the old unit, without a circuit diagram I´m none the wiser as to which part on the PCB would have failed. Anyway one for the bi then.

Eric

Hi,
It's the mirrors with memory.
I have indeed already tried the memory-return of the mirror, and again, no joy when it's supposed to move the mirror up or left. As mentioned I have already checked the change-over switch, next up will be the controller to check. just need to get a good one first.

Eric

With or without memory?
If with memory, can returning to any of the memory positions cause the
mirror to move up or left?
If the driver's side moves up and left, that will discount the joy-stick
switch.
The wiring and motors are the same for up and down or right and left, so
it can't be there.
So it looks like it could be the mirror change-over switch (easy to
check again as the wiring diagram shows the internals), or a fault in
the mirror control unit, which would most easily be checked by swapping
with a known good one.
