[928uk] Off topic - Boxsters

Nicely put, don't loose sight of the fact that some of the "issues" often work in your favour too, which is why you can buy early 2.5 boxers with plastic rear screens and weeping RMS's for nearly nothing. The fact the RMS may be weeping has no relation to if the intermediate shaft is going to fail. If was, it would of by now. However, the horror stories would have you believe it was going to blow up any minute.
If you want a soft top two seater, MX5s boxters are cheap, good fun and plentiful now. Almost bangernomics.

Early beetles had a tendency to go backwards when you lifted off in a corner, 928’s have flex plate problems, potential 2 and 6 bearing issues, and the GTS’s have oil burning issues, some Boxsters and 996’s have rear main seal issues. It’s a case of getting it checked properly and buying wisely (and keeping your fingers crossed).
