The calipers are ally as you probably know. The lift plate sits behind the pads and are screwed in but they are steel.
Corrossion sets in and bends plate which then binds the pads etc.
Theoretically just unscrew in practice an absolute night mare as the caliper has to be taken off and extreme heat and force to undo.
All 4 done, new pads and discs all round complete flush out with new brake fluid and a car that brakes as sharp as my daily car ALFA 159
