Hi Eric,

You are correct. It is held by two clips at the front and the metal spring at the back. I seem to remember though that there was a knack to re-attaching it. I too had the same problem on my GT but I persevered and managed to click it back in position where it stayed until the whole sunroof skin was swapped for a non-sunroof one, but that's another story.
