I am quite surprised there was a 'new' gearbox left in Germany, I should think that was quite expensive. A bargain maybe for parting out but for restoring? definitely not, the cost of an engine rebuild alone depending why it seized would outstrip the value of the car easily. If it's spun 2/6 bearings and messed up the crank (not sure about valves on this MY if belt) then may as well find another engine anyway and wouldn't be any good to me as a rebuild project.

And it had perfect Cup II wheels. The wheels and new Porsche manual gearbox would have been worth about £15,000
Someone got a bargain!

What was the listing number for the car that sold recently? I have been keeping an eye on things in case a cheap one came up so I could pull the engine and rebuild it as a spare for when inevitably I blow mine up on the track.
