[928uk] Battery for a 86 S2

Hi,
The Accumate is an excellent charger, I have two of them and use them frequently on my bike and 928 batteries to keep them tip top. The charger comes with a flying lead you can leave connected to the battery so you don't need to dig the battery out of the car / bike. Extra flying leads are about £4.50 if you have several vehicles.
However they are not suitable to connect to your 928 if the battery is totally dead without disconnecting the battery from the car, this is because they can supply 18v when trying to revive a dead battery.
They are also low current (originally designed for bike batteries) so I use a "normal" charger initially on a very flat battery and then the Accumate to condition it.

It has even recovered a discharged motor cycle battery that been sitting around for a year. I was ready to dispose of it but thought I would connect it up and give it a go. Very pleasing!

I would always try this before buying a replacement battery. No guarantee that it will recover every battery of course, but you will always need a battery charger.
My justification for the expense was to 'buy once, buy wisely'.
