Interesting question!

Short answer - GPS data acquisition system.

The problem being that in a bend - when the motorcycle is leaning - centrifugal forces are balanced by gravity and the net lateral forces (measured perpendicular to the axis of the motorcycle are not the same as those perpendicular to the direction of travel, unlike the situation on four wheels.

I was going to construct the Free Body Diagram etc, but then I found a good explanation here.
