[928uk] Clutch clanking around??

Could it be the release arm has come off or is not connected to the ball joint above the clutch and it is clanking each time the slave rod pushes on it?

Shouldn't take much to lift the car and remove the lower bell housing to at least check on the state the clutch assembly and get someone to press the clutch pedal? Might be something obvious and like Smiffy said, check it before it damages anything worse.

I'll be over in the summer, but I think you should look sooner rather than later.

I think you should get a spare car, then when I'm over I can look after the GT for you.

Broken diaphragm spring?  Friction plate falling apart?

If it was mine I would have it out in a flash to find out what is wrong before it does too much damage.
