I wasn't kidding about "looking after" your GT for you!

I'll be over in the summer, but I think you should look sooner rather than
later.

I think you should get a spare car, then when I'm over I can look after the
GT for you.

Hi Smiffy, mmm, I hear what your saying, fancy popping over to the u.k and
dropping it out for me ;)

Looking at getting a second car so I don't have to do work on the 928 in an
evening and get her back together again for the next day.

I don't like your suggestions much, the friction plate was new, hope your
wrong, rich.

Broken diaphragm spring? Friction plate falling apart?

If it was mine I would have it out in a flash to find out what is wrong
before it does too much damage.

Hi guys, I have an issue with my 89Gt which is getting louder, any ideas
please.

I have a noise coming from the clutch pack area, which can only be described
as loose, like the pack is clanking around. It is easiest to hear when in
slow traffic (fairly common in Britain ;) ) If I was rolling in traffic say
5 - 10mph leaving the car in gear and putting my foot on the clutch to the
floor then bringing the clutch pedal up again as traffic starts moving
again. It's as I engage and disengage the clutch that I can hear what sounds
like the clutch pack clank on and off, sorry for my useless description of
the noise. I changed the clutch friction plate I'm guessing about 12 months
ago along with a few other parts. I have checked the connections to the
torque tube all bolts are tight though the splines, I thought this could be
the culprit as it sounded like it was knocking back and forth, all the allen
key bolts are tight holding the clutch pack, not sure what to do now, the
last thing I want to do is drop the clutch pack again ;(

Cheers Rich
