[928uk] 1978 cars in UK

Hi Guys
I'm new to this site and like how this community works together :-)
My Dad a couple of 928s in late 70s early 80s and very fond of the car.
He had a silver and black version of the first 928 and wanted to know if the car is still running somewhere.
We don't have any docs or spare key numbers, but the plate was always changed to 996ABE as cars were imported from Stuttgart factory.
I would love to know if the cars were still around, as on a nostalgic path at the moment.
