Hi All,

I am new to the club/site. I have just finished putting back together a 1992 black on black s4 auto after the previous owner gave up. Body resprayed, engine rebuilt, new brakes, suspension, interior. It has a quite unique feature that I haven't seen - mine has the GTS rear end (with the reflector panel). However a have a couple of issues that someone maybe able to help on - the fan/heater makes a high pitched screaming noise on any setting (it goes away momentarily when the circulation slider is moved - then starts again, once the car is all warmed up it disappears), the temperature does not appear hot or cold? Fan motor or heater controller? Any ideas? I am quite sure the air con needs a top up (it seems to work but never gets very cold) - I have seen some conversion kits from the U.S. That allow the later refrigerant to be use - has anyone used these? The battery also goes flat after about a day, all interior lights are turned off. Also after a outer rear hatch window trim, central join piece (Porsche don't make any more) and breakers want me to buy the whole trim, has any one got one at a reasonable price?
