[928uk] High Mileage Nervousness - Cam Chains

I would expect (same as for those motors that use cam chains instead of
cam belts) that you would get some noise from the chains before they get
to a really bad state?
They claimed with my 5.0 Mustang that the cam chains would last at least
400K Km and you would hear a lot of noise before they gave way. Those
chains would likely have more stress than the 928's?
