[928uk] Overheating 928 S2 Auto 1985

I suggested this to someone once:
"The most conclusive way to check it is to remove a heater hose and 
replace it with a longer length of transparent hose. Arrange the 
transparent hose so that it is raised in the middle about a foot above 
the header tank. Top the system up and run the engine. In the 
transparent hose you will be able to see how much pressure the water 
pump is developing by the difference in level in the two sides of the 
hose. The difference should be significant at idle and increase with 
increasing rpm."
I don't know if anyone has tried it thought.
