[928uk] High Mileage Nervousness - Cam Chains

I read a theory somewhere that the 4 pot motor cylinders are at a 
different angle than the 928 ones so the oiling pattern is different 
hence leading to this cam chain problem?
I believe the 4 pots were derived from the 8 and the design change 
required some compromises like, for example, the balance shaft.
