Andy that is very interesting - did a quick spot check on a few cars.

The S4 at £24K from Fast Classics in surrey is advertised with 37,534 miles on the clock but according to the data:

An MOT in October 2012 has mileage at 57,391 August 2013 115, 203  - same for 2014 and no MOT done in 15.

Makes research on a vehicle a tad easier and obviously a little explanation from the seller will be required.

It failed in 2014 first time around due to:

	• Reason(s) for failure
Nearside Headlamp aim too low (1.8)
Offside Headlamp aim too low (1.8)
Offside Rear position lamp(s) not working (1.1.A.3b)
Offside Front Direction indicator not working (1.4.A.2c)
Rear fog lamp not working (1.3.2b)
Power steering inoperative (2.3.3a)
Nearside Rear Shock absorber has a serious fluid leak (2.7.3)
Nearside Front Brake hose ferrule excessively corroded (3.6.B.4e)
Offside Front Brake hose ferrule excessively corroded (3.6.B.4e)
Offside Front Track rod end ball joint dust cover excessively damaged so that it no longer prevents the ingress of dirt (2.2.C.1c)
	• Advisory notice item(s)
hand brake cable outer broken
all suspension componants rusty
underbody showing signs of corrosion
nearside front tyre worn close to legal limit
all tyres starting to perish
front brake discs in very poor condition

The data could of course be wrong! Or could it????

As failures and advisories could previously be hidden at sale, this provides a no hiding place!
