[928uk] S2 Handbrake

Hi All

I have had the handbrake apart and replaced the shoes ( the originals were
corroding under the lining material and it was cracking ) as well as easing
the mechanism so that it all moves as it should however I find that there
is some free play with the brake applied ie the car can move a tad as the
mechanism is able to move a few mm within the back plate housing.
I have looked at the exploded view from the parts list to see if there
should be something located to secure the mechanism in place but Im not
seeing anything.
By mechanism I mean the device on the end of the cable that causes the
shoes to engage the brake drum.
It doesnt seem right to me although with hand brake applied the car will
not move under engine power so it works.

Has any body else seen this ? Is the a small item on the drawing that I
should have spotted ? There were no bits left over after the job.

I have the MOT this week so if its a real problem I guess Im going to find
out about it soon enough.
