Sufficient inside diameter to clear the callipers?
I know that the NA 996 has the same diameter disks as the S4 (304 mm),
but what you need to know is if the 996 turbo has 928 GTS (322 mm) sized
disks.
Google tells me that the 996 turbo front disk is 996 351 409 02 and 330
mm diameter. On the basis of that, there is a GOOD CHANCE that the 996T
spare will fit over the 928 GTS front brakes. But the callipers will be
a much later design, and might be "slimmer", so there is still a risk
that it wouldn't.
And what about offset (the ET number), you have said that the two
options are the same diameter and width, but they could have different
offsets, that could also prevent them fitting and/or make the car twitchy.
If you are buying by mail order you would want to be sure.
