OT 996/997 (or other) experiences to share?

OT update 

Started looking at a serendipitous time - OPC just got an immaculate silver 2006 997 C4 cabriolet (tiptronic) with 50,000 km on it and loads of extras like 19" wheels, PASM, Bose sound, Sport Chrono pack. I asked if the would chuck in a set of new snow tyres and the agreed to, then they threw in a set of 18" original Porsche wheels too! Result! Parts and labour renewable Europe-wide warranty, plus it gets a free major service before handing it over. 

I now have a puppy for the 928 to play with. Thanks for all the advice I got from those who replied off list. Best not to think about the insurance premium, but I can get the 928 insured for free by having interchangeable plates. Have a good weekend all.
