Hi Graham
As Ian has suggested, fractured solder joints around the connector/PCB 
junction are common.

This is because it is a single sided board.   Not a bad idea to touch up 
all the joints while you have the unit apart.

I assume you have carried out the input signal checks that are in the ESM ?
