Ian I think Paul's video shows the scraper install - if the piece you are referring to in the narrow slot is what I think it is - I used a rubber mallet, very lightly and carefully to tap it home, working my way from one side to t'other. They can be tricky if you have not done these but actually when you find 'your method' - actually a lot easier than you think! When installing scraper, pushing the inside channel to the door means squeezing fingers between glass and door - tape your fingers or you'll loose skin!
