Windscreen washer bottle

I am planning to connect the headlight wash system on my 1989 S4 which has never worked since I bought the car. I have purchased new nozzles, 3-way connector, hose and clips and now need to access the washer bottle. Would appreciate any advice please on the best way to do this.ThanksRob
