The GTS sensors, one each side of the car under the dash, are the airbag sensors. These are wired into a specific airbag system.
If they can’t fix it or flatbed it, make sure they don’t tow is too far with the rear wheels turning on the road. The gearboxes don’t like it .

I got a lift with George Layton to Dover and RAC paid for a hire car for me to drive from Dover to home. They did offer a repair in Germany but I refused.

I can hear a click from a relay behind the centre console that coincides with the warning lights going out even though the engine hasn't started. On my 1985 car there is a bank of four relays behind the radio and I can feel one of them clicking synchronous with the check lights extinguishing. I haven't had any alternator problems, and have changed the warning system module with one from another car; problem remains.

Try spraying some WD-40 into the alternator that might just clean up the contacts on the brushes or something or even belt the thing with a hammer & 1/2 inch drive extension bar and get a new one when you get home. !
