Yes - I have done it an all four 928s that have been through my hands. It is a 30yrs old part which sits very close to the exhaust headers. It is a heavy duty part, which is normally fitted to VW Vans, but any rubber will deteriorate in this environment. The rubber donut is not available separately from Porsche, but you can buy the VW part and re-fit the Porsche bronze bushes. £10 instead of the £450 that Porsche wants for the steering column with the rubber bush attached to the end of it.
