Mine gets a bit sticky at times, I sprayed the linkage and put a fresh cover on the motor which seems to have helped.
I make sure I use it every month just to clear any corrosion.

Subject: [928uk] Headlight motor issue

Hi All
When last out at night when I tried to turn on the headlights the motor did not operate for a while but worked after a while with repeat switching.
So I looked at it the next day and it failed to operate at all. I found that the headlights were on in the down position which is fine for aircraft spotting but little use for driving.I gave the manual operating knob a nudge and it worked and has worked since. I have operated the hand drive up and down a few times and lubricated the linkages and it still all works.
Does the collective have experience of this ? Any thoughts re the cause ? Is there any recommended maintenance to the actual motor  ?
Many thanks Mark 1984 S2 Manual
