No Start

Hi Guys
I haven't tried to start my 928 for 6-7 months but I did last weekend and it cranks ok, but there is no attempt to fire. I have gone into no start diagnostic checks before, but my garage is a bit narrow to open the passenger door fully to get to the electrical board.
After cranking there was no odour of petrol from the exhaust so I am starting on the basis of fuel relay or fuel pump issues. My question is should the fuel pump run continuously with the ignition on? At least that is easier to get to at present.
