Thats the issue Ben - we are struggling to locate the production number of individual cars - the only known place is the ID label in the boot - Porsche did not even put it in the owners service manual which is a similar label but without the production number!! The label can be done without it, using info from the one in the manual. There was an idea that it also appeared under the dash, hand written on the car frame - but I have not seen or had that confirmed.

>> Im sure its some form of sealant. As for “tidying” - why? Its original and covered with foam and carpet! Why bother if its just age? Nothing wrong with that originality. But if its that bad you could fill with new sealer and rattle can to blend in, or worst case strip and redo all the bad stuff!! There should be sticker in the boot also. A white square label - this is the sticker which has a unique build number on it. Lots are lost to water damage as they are just paper. If you have it protect it - I spent ages generating fonts to replicate these - worst case I can create replicas which Ive done for a few people!
