[928uk] Random question

You probably know my car is white and behind the tool panel is black.  My
paper sticker is missing from the boot but I assume that went in the past
when the GTS wings were done. Also and somewhat controversial it doesn’t
have a VIN plate next to to the bonnet catch. It has the vin on the frame
near the washer though. I wonder if the vin plate is not a requirement in
Japan where it was sold new.
Wonder why that part is black when the rest is body colour?
