Hi Martin
I had a similar issue when I had only worked on the steering rack but went
to start it and no go.
Heres my procedure -
Checked the fuel pump - it would run from a separate 12v supply but no
engine start also checked for 12 v at the pump from the car - none.
Checked for spark when cranking the engine - none
I then decided that the common denominator was the crank position sensor -
I do not have the in depth knowledge of many listers but
in fact that was the case.
Awkward to get at and extract ( in many bits ) but has run ok since , cost
about £30.
Good luck
Mark
