Ken,
I’ve had LED replacements in both 928s for some years; Steve Jones spent time sourcing quality units that provide good beam control and much higher lumen output than halogen, with dip and main beam control. LEDs also available for the side, driving and fog lamps for a modern consistent white light appearance.
MOTs have not been a problem, and the improved lumen output for night driving is chalk and cheese. Working washers are a requirement, but my MOT station have never checked them, they do work though!
