That is the really important point that everyone should remember. Do not 
wind in the tensioner to re tension a slack belt. Belts do not stretch 
over time. For the belt to go slack something has worn. It might be the 
belt itself, the pulleys, the water pump bearing. Whatever it is needs 
addressing not hiding.
