[928uk] Cargo area sound-proofing question

That is the same set up as I have in MY88 928. However, I have the original plastic wheel cover.  We can custom manufacture what ever scenario you want to suit you.

  1.  Do you need any foam/scrim to go under your board wheel cover to stop any rattles?
  2.  We can supply some 18mm Closed cell dense foam for the right side over the fuel tank and then a 12mm similar Closed cell dense foam over the wheel cover which will provide a uniform flat surface across both sides for the carpet to sit on?
  3.  Or we can supply a 12mm Closed cell dens foam panel for the right hand side and then a continuous single Closed Cell dens foam sheet across the whole floor under the carpet?

You can have any of the above or something else to suit you.  The above are options we have been asked to supply so far for 928 customers.

Our standard offering would be option 2 and that will be the one we will post up to our website shop - once I get chance and time to do it.

Looking at my '91 (and according to PET the '90 should be the same) both
sides have a very thick, very dense, moulded foam pieces. The left side
piece is attached to the spare wheel cover, the right piece to the
carpet. the thickest part is 40mm. I'll send you pictures off list.
