[928uk] Man vs Auto - was GTS Article

Always an emotive issue!
I am one of those people who has an auto due to a disability - but I 
also have a manual for ranting around the track so I see both sides of 
the argument. After 10 mins on the track my clutch foot gets tired so 
static traffic would be a nightmare.
I know the later (91) auto boxes are better but only 4 ratios is a bit 
mincey. For me the ideal would be the ZF 8 speed auto box from my 5 
series BMW somehow nailed to the diff to form a transaxle. That would be 
truely fantastic - especially with paddle override. Best box ever.
I remember taking a customer GTS Manual for a test drive and 2nd gear 
acceleration was grin enducing. Lovely. The early 928 manual boxes are 
plain evil though
