Headlamp Relay

Just to let everyone who responded to my problem, and to others just for
their interest, the problem is now solved.

Just to recap, when I switched onto main beam, and then switched off main
beam, it wouldn’t go back on, then if I switched to side lights, back to
headlights, nothing.  The relay also was getting extremely hot when on main
beam.

All wiring was checked and no problem found.  The relay 92861810763 (which
was in the car when I bought it) is the Porsche recommended replacement for
92861810701, no longer available.  I bought a new 92861810763 just in case
the first one was faulty, but exactly the same problem occurred.  I
searched for, and found a used 01 on eBay in Germany, bought it and fitted
it yesterday. IT WORKED.

So, the Porsche replacement has a problem, well, in my car.

If anyone needs a headlamp relay 92861810763, I now have 2, going very
cheap.
