Chip guard on sill and door

Hi All

I went in to see the car at the paint shop yesterday and discussed the
spray on chip guard on the sill and bottom of door. Mine had been redone at
some point so not exactly sure what the correct height is. If any one could
check and let me know i would appreciate it.. taking the measurement from
the bottom edge of the door would prop be easiest?

As a side. When trying to research on the interwebmachine I noticed that
the early cars only had the protection up to the base of the door, Porsche
then hiked it up onto the bottom edge of the door at around MY80. As mine
is an 82 I guess I should stick with this as they must have a issues with
the doors edge getting chipped and oxidising… mine were doing this through
the chip guard so obviously not the best solution either. It’s a shame
because prefer the cleaner look doors on the early cars without that stuff
plaster across the bottom.
