I have an 82s which has the early Porsche synchro which do not cope well
with synchronizing the speed of the long heavy torque shaft. I have all new
synchro rings and cages and now the correct spring in a pair of new clutch
plates and no its not a modern creamy box but quite pleasant to drive in
comparison to what it was like with a dragging clutch and worn synchro. I
use Nulon synchro ease adative which helps as does a rebuilt no play
linkage with non slotted bushes in the little universal, (from Roger T)
