It’s a good question. I’ve always been impressed on the emissions numbers  for my cat car at MOT time.

It’s all highly academic as the charging structure is based around the Manufactures declarations, so modifying an individual car wouldn’t help (unless you go in the opposite direction in which case you are supposed to declare).
