[928uk] Rear quarter window trim - early cars

when you say cut out do you mean the car body itself?

Mine is an 82 so whilst it is, or I should say was, a 4.5 no spoiler model
it’s was in the last year of the non-s and not really in the category as an
true early 78/79 car. The glass is replacement from an S4 and the seals are
new. The long trim pieces are from the original car but the end pieces are
new/used. After using a innovative new 24x7 928 consulting service (aka
Simon Painter on FaceTime) we deduced and I could get the end pieces to fit
with a little modification and with them sitting further inwards - there is
a little more of the rubber seal protruding behind the apex of the lower
end piece but it’s looks perfectly ‘good enough’.

I still think the early end pieces may fit better so interested in pics and
if anyone has a space I could borrow/trial with.
