You have bought the extended stud type spacer which requires removing 
the hub, removing the originals and replacing with the long studs, then 
replacing the hub - which will inevitably entail replacing the wheel 
bearings and all that involves. The short stud type allow you to use the 
nuts with the spacer to locate the spacer and the studs supplied in the 
spacer then go through the wheel and you use the original nuts. A 
slightly heavier option but sooooo much easier
H& R do both types and I put 17mm spacers or RIA easily ('90)
I know as I have been down the route and have a set of extended stud 
spacers spare!
