PET2 on Windows 11

Hi,
I have updated my laptop from Win 10 to 11 and 
PET no longer works and I’ve fiddled around but can’t get it to run even in “compatibility mode”.
I’m not an IT dunce (MS certified system engineer but 20 years ago).
Only thing I haven’t tried is a full re-install.
So I’d also be interested if someone gets it working or has done a fresh install on Win 11

P.S. for normal mortals there’s no advantage to Win 11 so don’t do it for the sake of it !!
