All

My records suggest that

WP0ZZZ92ZJS841930
Possible Reg PVF928

Was auctioned by Charterhouse Auctions July 2016, no longer has an SE engine
and seats are sports seats but not SE trim.

The only record I have of Pauls SE is that it is the 7th built and according
to DVLA some time ago was damaged in 1970!!! So who knows if that info is
correct. And had a number plate change in 1990.

One question - does it have the rear wheel spacers fitted in the photos -
the wheels appear to far inset relative to the wheel arches.

Hi Paul,

>> Why did you not just ask me ? <<

I *was* just asking you. I didn't expect there to be any issue as you
previously told us the car has no hidden history. The auction page for the
forest green CS in America showed VIN and engine no. at the top of the
description, so I didn't think these details were any sort of secret. The
VIN of my 928 GT is WP0ZZZ92ZMS800679 with Engine Type M28/47 and Engine No.
85M00758. Registration number J2XVX

To answer your question, I would only sell my GT in a no reserve auction if
the starting price was one that I was happy to sell for.

You can ask any questions about my 928 GT or tell me any info you have about
it on this list. I really don't mind, and if I was selling it I wouldn't
mind either, as then all publicity is good publicity.

I'll look for your personal email next.

Best regards,
Jonathan

Jonathan,
What you do and what you discuss is of no interest or concern to me. But
then, for reasons best known to you and whoever, you decide to be
"messenger" and broadcast your questions / concerns to the wide World, any
of whom could be potential bidder on my car.
Why did you not just ask me ?
So let me fill you in on a few points:
I'm selling the car because I have to. Not because I want to. Would you sell
your GT via a no reserve auction ?
Would you be upset if you were selling your GT if I broadcast to 928.uk "Was
that the car that was in a bad crash a few years ago" or some such ?

So, in answer to your email - I will answer all your questions via personal
email. I'm not broadcasting VIN numbers etc to all and sundry.
Then, once I've answered all your questions, perhaps you'll be kind enough
to revert to 928.uk list that I have done so.

If there's further off-list discussion or questions I'd suggest you just
ask.

Paul Lacey

Hi Paul,

I'll keep this short as I'm just a messenger here. There has been some
speculation off-list recently about whether the red 928 E263DMR that you are
selling through Bonhams is the 928 with an S4 engine that was advertised on
ebay in Aug 2022, and mentioned on the 928UK list at that time as a possible
SE. The change of V5C for E263DMR on 24 Aug 2022 seems to suggest this could
be so.

To clear this up, please could you tell us all the VIN and engine number for
the red 928 E263DMR that you are selling, and roughly when you acquired the
car. Cheers.

Best regards,
Jonathan
