Adrian,

Exactly the same symptoms when the second time my car failed but I was driving and it all went quiet, but typical 928 it started the next morning!

However, I had an exchange ECU and it fixed the fault

Now at home in quiet I can hear the injectors clicking as soon as ignition on, so suspect a LH ‘hybrid tile’ failure. Will contact Mike P about checking/fixing.
