[928uk] [OT] Inappropriate messages deleted from the archive

[Angus Fox]

I have deleted two messages which were inappropriate for the list from the
list archives, one person has left the list and others have apologised or
been in touch to explain more context.

This is the first time I've had to remove a posting this century. I can't
undo mails sent to the list, or the digest being sent - what is sent is
sent - this is why the list default is just reply and not reply all! It is
to make you really want to copy the list!

I will leave moderation on for today and turn it off tomorrow, I dont want
our list to have to be moderated all the time as it is too much of an admin
burden.

I'm not going to get into any other discussions about the relative merits
of postings, and I'm not going to change any list settings based on a once
in over 25 years issue.

Trusts thats OK with everyone.
