[928uk] proper 928 stuff!

In the end, that is the problem - the cars have 30 to 47 year old leather. Pay to have it repaired and it will probably split somewhere else later.
The back of a seat, that doesn't see sun or the wear and tear of a person, never fails as far as I'm aware, but sadly the work involved in replacing all the front panels is pretty much the same as making a whole new seat cover.
I've sort of convinced myself during my research that as these were £70K cars when new, spending £2k to £3k on the seats is worthwhile.
Best regards,
Jonathan

Hi James
Manage Undone did the first repair. It looked very good straight after.
Wayne is a bit miserable but he is bloody good (removed a few dings from
various cars paintlessly)
Unfortunately it didn't stand the test of time and the colour faded
initially. I have used a proper linen leather restorer but it does not
last. Now the material is parting again. I just think the bolster is
very thin at that area.
Unfortunately Smiffys is 2 1/2 hrs away so I will try and find somewhere
closer.
Watch this space!
Where are you based James?
