[928uk] Period Correct Tyres

HI all , Happy New Year

I am interested in this tyres discussions
I have been very happy with tyres bought from longstons for classic aston
martins,
these tyres are PIRELLI CINTURATO CA67 although they are period correct
tread design my research and discussions with longstone suggest that the
tyres are manufactured using newer formulation and technology ,i would
assume that the same will apply to the new P7's. In fact looking at the
pirelli website i found :-

which includes :- "Pirelli Collezione is a range of tyres designed for the
world’s most iconic classic and modern classic cars, combining vintage
looks with contemporary know-how."
and
"blending vintage design with modern materials and technology"

of course this is not the lowest cost route to follow

 a quick google for 245 45/16 rear tyres
gives nankang at £68 , through vredestein and toyo at approx £150,
yokohama A052 and A008P ( No rated) , at around £230, toyo proxis R888R -
looks to be more a track tyre £185, Pirelli P zero asymetrico £262 , and
then two classic remade michelins SX MXX3 £280 , and the same but N2 £ 412,
both michelins listed as limited stock , all data from my tyres.com

so in comparison the 245/45 16 pirelli P7 from longstone at £428 is
comparable with the classic michelin
fronts 225/50 26 £378,
there is an offer for s set of 2 each at £1522, saving £90

my SE tyres, continental were bought a few years ago they have "3417" week
34 , 2017 manufacturing date impressed marks, fortunately they do not yet
need replacing yet due to wear although they are getting a bit old

I wonder if there will be other options, available in the future ( ie when
i need them !)

the front tyres are commonly available , and i have as a set of 4 on my S2m
using michelin PS4's which perform extremely well - (they are newer)
currently around £157 each, all we need is Michelin to remanufacture the
tyres  245 45 rears - anyone know of any good contacts
just a few thoughts
