Hi

Something strange has happened, the whole indicator unit has been indoors in the warm today and the wiper function now appears to be working ok. It had been on the car in the cold outside so perhaps that had something to do with it.

Cheers
Pete

Hi Peter.
They do that sir!
it could well be that part of the stalk inside the housing is broken.
Also doed/did the stalk self centre? Th tab which facilitates this wears and self centering stops working. I have had some new parts 3d printed - I have sent a few out for people to try and had no feedback that they have failed so I can only assume that they work fine.
You can drill the rivets out and replace them with self tappers, however the unit has many fine springs and some ball bearings so you need to be very careful, take pictures and dismanlte it in a lrge bicuit tin!
If you don't feel capable send it to me and I will do it

Regards
Richard
